FTB Systems (“Service Provider”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the Galley mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Application”).

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, process, disclose, and protect information when you use the Application.

By using the Application, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

The Application may collect information that users voluntarily provide, information automatically collected through use of the Application, and information generated through interactions with AI-powered features.

Information You May Provide

Depending on how you use the Application, we may collect information such as:

  • Name or profile information provided through authentication providers

  • Email address associated with authentication providers

  • Unique account identifiers

  • Phone numbers used for sharing or collaboration features

  • Recipes

  • Pantry information

  • Grocery lists

  • Meal plans

  • Collections

  • Uploaded images

  • Grocery receipts

  • Handwritten recipes

  • Notes and other submitted content

 

Automatically Collected Information

The Application may automatically collect certain technical and usage information, including:

  • Device type

  • Operating system

  • Device identifiers

  • IP address

  • General geographic region

  • Application usage activity

  • Features accessed

  • Session duration

  • Crash reports

  • Analytics and performance data

 

The Application does not collect precise GPS location information unless explicitly authorized by the user.

2. Authentication Providers

Access to the Application may require authentication through supported third-party providers such as:

  • Sign in with Apple

  • Google Sign-In

  • Samsung Account

  • Other supported authentication services

 

When using these services, certain account-related information may be shared with us in accordance with the privacy settings and policies of the authentication provider.

We do not directly store or manage passwords associated with third-party authentication providers.

3. AI-Powered Features & Processing

The Application uses Artificial Intelligence (“AI”), optical character recognition (“OCR”), image analysis, and related technologies to provide features such as:

  • Recipe generation

  • Meal planning

  • Grocery list generation

  • Pantry organization

  • Smart Import functionality

  • Receipt scanning

  • Handwritten recipe imports

  • Recipe recreations from uploaded food images

  • Personalized recommendations

 

Information submitted through these features may be processed by AI systems in order to provide Application functionality and improve user experience.

While we strive to improve accuracy and performance, AI-generated outputs may contain inaccuracies, omissions, incorrect categorizations, incomplete information, incorrect ingredient recognition, duplicate items, incorrect quantities, or inaccurate recipe recreations.

Users are responsible for reviewing and verifying all AI-generated content before relying on it.

4. Pantry, Receipt & Image Upload Features

Users may upload grocery receipts, pantry images, handwritten recipes, recipe cards, food photographs, or similar content to enable certain Application features.

These uploads may be processed using OCR, AI analysis, and automated systems to identify:

  • Ingredients

  • Product names

  • Quantities

  • Recipes

  • Pantry inventory

  • Grocery recommendations

 

Imported or generated information may not always be accurate, complete, or up to date. Users are responsible for reviewing and correcting imported pantry data, recipes, ingredient quantities, grocery selections, brands, and related information.

 

Handwritten recipes, recipe cards, or uploaded images may contain unclear handwriting, faded text, low-quality images, incomplete instructions, or formatting inconsistencies that impact the accuracy of imported or generated content.

 

5. User Content & Public Sharing

The Application may allow users to create, upload, save, publish, organize, or share content, including:

  • Recipes

  • Collections

  • Meal plans

  • Notes

  • Images

  • Food photographs

  • User-generated recipe collections

 

Certain features may allow content to be shared publicly or with other users of the Application.

Content shared publicly may be viewed, copied, saved, shared, or redistributed by other users.

Users are solely responsible for the content they choose to upload, publish, or share through the Application.

 

6. Sharing Features & Communications

The Application may allow users to share recipes, collections, or other content through:

  • Email sharing

  • Phone number invitations

  • Links

  • Collaboration features

  • Other communication methods

 

Users are responsible for ensuring they have permission or consent before providing another person’s contact information.

We may use provided contact information solely for the purpose of delivering requested sharing or communication functionality.

 

7. Grocery Integrations & Third-Party Services

The Application may integrate with third-party services, including grocery delivery providers such as Instacart.

When users interact with third-party services through the Application, certain information related to grocery selections, recipes, shopping lists, pantry contents, product preferences, or purchase activity may be shared as necessary to provide requested functionality.

Certain grocery lists, product recommendations, substitutions, or brand selections may be generated or determined by third-party providers, retailer systems, inventory availability, automated recommendation systems, or AI technologies outside the control of the Service Provider.

As a result, grocery orders, substitutions, ingredient selections, product matches, or brand selections may differ from the original recommendations generated within the Application.

Users are responsible for reviewing all grocery selections, substitutions, brands, quantities, ingredients, and purchase details before completing any transaction with third-party providers.

The Service Provider may receive affiliate commissions or referral compensation from certain third-party partners.

Third-party services operate independently and may have their own privacy policies and terms. We encourage users to review those policies before interacting with third-party services.

 

8. How We Use Information

We may use collected information to:

  • Provide and maintain the Application

  • Authenticate users

  • Generate meal plans and recipes

  • Organize pantry and grocery information

  • Improve AI-powered functionality

  • Personalize user experience

  • Provide customer support

  • Improve Application performance

  • Monitor usage and analytics

  • Prevent abuse or unauthorized activity

  • Enforce our Terms & Conditions

  • Communicate important notices or updates

  • Develop new features and services

 

9. Analytics & Tracking

We may use analytics providers, performance monitoring tools, crash reporting services, and similar technologies to understand how users interact with the Application and improve performance.

These services may collect aggregated or anonymized information regarding Application usage and device activity.

 

10. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • Provide the Application

  • Maintain user accounts

  • Comply with legal obligations

  • Resolve disputes

  • Enforce agreements

  • Improve Application functionality

 

Users may request deletion of their account or certain personal information by contacting us using the contact information below. Certain information may be retained where required by law or for legitimate operational, security, or legal purposes.

 

11. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, electronic, and procedural safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure.

However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

 

12. Children’s Privacy

The Application is not intended for children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that personal information has been collected from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete such information.

Parents or guardians who believe their child may have provided personal information may contact us directly.

 

13. International Users

The Application is intended primarily for users located in Canada, but information may be processed or stored in other jurisdictions depending on the services, infrastructure providers, or technologies used by the Application.

By using the Application, users acknowledge that information may be transferred, processed, or stored outside their province, territory, or country of residence.

 

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically.

Updated versions will be posted within the Application or on our website. Continued use of the Application after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
