These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to the Galley mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Application”) provided by FTB Systems (“Service Provider”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).

By downloading, accessing, or using the Application, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you should discontinue use of the Application immediately.

1. Eligibility

The Application is intended for users who are at least 13 years of age or older.

By using the Application, you represent and warrant that you meet the minimum age requirement and are legally capable of entering into these Terms.

If you are under the age of majority in your province or territory of residence, you may only use the Application with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

2. Use of the Application

The Application is intended to provide meal planning, recipe organization, grocery planning, pantry management, AI-powered recipe assistance, and related lifestyle features.

You agree to use the Application only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

You may not:

Copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the Application
Attempt to extract source code or create derivative works
Use the Application in any unlawful, harmful, abusive, or fraudulent manner
Interfere with the security or operation of the Application
Use automated systems or bots to access the Application without authorization
Attempt to bypass usage limits or system protections

All trademarks, branding, intellectual property, content, software, and related materials remain the property of the Service Provider or its licensors.

3. Account Registration & Authentication

Access to the Application requires authentication through supported third-party sign-in providers, which may include:

Sign in with Apple
Google Sign-In
Samsung Account
Other supported authentication providers

The Service Provider does not directly manage or store user passwords associated with these authentication providers.

By using third-party authentication services, you acknowledge that certain account-related information (such as your name, email address, unique account identifier, or profile information) may be shared with the Service Provider in accordance with the privacy policies and settings of those providers.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and any third-party authentication accounts used to access the Application.

4. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

The Application may use Artificial Intelligence (“AI”) technologies to generate recipes, meal plans, grocery suggestions, cooking instructions, nutritional estimates, substitutions, categorizations, and other content.

While the Service Provider strives to provide accurate and helpful information, AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies, omissions, unsuitable recommendations, incorrect categorizations, inconsistent ingredient quantities, duplicate suggestions, or other unintended results.

Examples may include, but are not limited to:

Meals categorized incorrectly (such as breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, or snack categories)
Inaccurate or incomplete grocery recommendations
Duplicate meal suggestions
Incorrect preparation or cooking estimates
Incompatible ingredients or substitutions
Recipes that do not meet user expectations or dietary preferences

Users are solely responsible for reviewing, confirming, and modifying their meal plans, grocery lists, recipes, ingredient quantities, and generated content before purchasing ingredients, preparing meals, or relying on Application recommendations.

The Service Provider does not guarantee that AI-generated recommendations, meal plans, recipes, categorizations, or grocery suggestions will be accurate, complete, suitable, or error-free.

5. Usage Limits & Fair Use

The Application may include usage limitations, request limits, generation limits, or other controls designed to ensure fair access, maintain system performance, prevent abuse, and manage operational costs associated with AI-powered features and third-party services.

These limitations may apply to features such as:

Meal plan generation
Recipe generation
AI-powered imports
Grocery list creation
Image analysis
Smart Import functionality
Other automated or AI-powered features

The Service Provider reserves the right to implement, modify, suspend, or enforce reasonable usage limits at its sole discretion without prior notice.

Users agree not to misuse, overload, automate, exploit, or attempt to circumvent such limitations.

6. AI Image & Recipe Recreation Disclaimer

Certain features of the Application may allow users to upload photographs of meals, dishes, menu items, food images, handwritten family recipes, recipe cards, or other recipe-related content in order to generate AI-assisted recipe recreations, imports, or similar meal suggestions.

These recreations and imports are generated using Artificial Intelligence and are intended to provide estimated or inspired approximations only. The generated recipes may differ significantly from the original content in:

Ingredients
Measurements
Preparation methods
Nutritional values
Allergens
Taste
Appearance
Portion sizes

Handwritten recipes, recipe cards, or uploaded images may contain unclear handwriting, low-quality images, faded text, incomplete instructions, or formatting inconsistencies that may impact the accuracy of AI-generated imports or recreations.

Users are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, editing, and confirming the accuracy of all imported or generated recipes, ingredients, quantities, instructions, and preparation methods before relying on them for cooking, preservation, or future use.

The Service Provider does not guarantee that AI-generated recreations or imports will accurately replicate or match the original food item, restaurant dish, handwritten recipe, or uploaded content.

Users are solely responsible for reviewing all generated content before preparation or consumption.

6A. Pantry, Receipt Scanning & Ingredient Import Disclaimer

Certain features of the Application may allow users to upload grocery receipts, pantry photographs, ingredient lists, or other images in order to automatically detect, import, organize, or track ingredients within the Application.

These features may rely on Artificial Intelligence, optical character recognition (“OCR”), image analysis, or other automated technologies.

While the Service Provider strives to provide accurate ingredient detection and pantry organization, imported pantry data may contain inaccuracies, omissions, duplicate items, incorrect quantities, expired ingredients, incorrect product identifications, or missing information.

Users are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, editing, and maintaining the accuracy of all pantry contents, imported ingredients, quantities, and inventory information within the Application.

Recipes, grocery lists, meal plans, and recommendations generated using pantry or receipt import features may be affected by inaccurate or incomplete pantry data.

The Service Provider does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of pantry imports, receipt scanning results, ingredient detection, or inventory tracking functionality.

7. Allergy & Dietary Disclaimer

The Application may generate recipes, meal plans, ingredient suggestions, grocery lists, substitutions, nutritional estimates, and dietary recommendations using Artificial Intelligence and user-generated content.

While the Service Provider strives to provide accurate and helpful information, the Application does not guarantee that recipes, ingredients, grocery lists, substitutions, or recommendations will be free from allergens, dietary conflicts, inaccuracies, or omissions.

Users are solely responsible for independently reviewing and verifying:

Ingredients
Product labels
Allergens
Nutritional information
Dietary compatibility
Grocery substitutions
Preparation methods

Users should carefully review all recipes, grocery items, and ingredient recommendations before purchasing, preparing, or consuming any food.

Third-party grocery providers or retailers may substitute ingredients or products during fulfillment, which could introduce allergens or alter recipe suitability. The Service Provider does not control or guarantee third-party substitutions or ingredient availability.

The Application is not intended for medical, allergy, or dietary treatment purposes, and users with allergies, sensitivities, or medical conditions should consult qualified professionals and exercise appropriate caution.

The Service Provider shall not be responsible for allergic reactions, dietary issues, ingredient substitutions, food sensitivities, or other outcomes resulting from use of the Application or reliance on AI-generated or user-generated content.

8. Collections, Budget Preferences & No Guarantee of Results

The Application may allow users to create, share, browse, download, or follow recipe collections, meal plans, dietary categories, or other curated content created by the Service Provider or other users of the Application.

Collections or meal plans may reference categories, goals, or themes such as:

High protein
Weight loss
Budget-friendly
Healthy eating
Family meals
Low calorie
Meal prep
Other dietary or lifestyle preferences

These labels, recommendations, categories, and collections are provided for informational and convenience purposes only.

The Service Provider does not guarantee:

Weight loss or fitness outcomes
Nutritional accuracy
Dietary suitability
Budget savings
Grocery affordability
Health improvements
User satisfaction
Recipe quality or effectiveness
Accuracy of user-generated collections or content

Users acknowledge that grocery pricing, ingredient availability, regional costs, retailer pricing, substitutions, portion sizes, purchasing habits, and brand selections may vary significantly.

Budget-related settings or preferences within the Application are intended only as general guidance and estimates. Selecting lower-cost or “budget” options does not guarantee that grocery purchases, meal plans, brands selected by third-party providers, or ingredients will meet any specific spending target or affordability expectation.

Certain collections, recipes, or recommendations may be created or shared by other users of the Application. The Service Provider does not verify, endorse, review, or guarantee the accuracy, quality, safety, nutritional value, effectiveness, or intended purpose of user-generated content.

Users are solely responsible for reviewing all recipes, collections, nutritional information, grocery lists, meal plans, product selections, and brands before relying on them or making purchasing decisions.

Individual results and experiences may vary significantly.

9. User Content & Public Sharing

The Application may allow users to upload, import, submit, create, or share content, including:

Recipes
Images
Pantry information
Grocery receipts
Meal plans
Food photographs
Notes and other materials (“User Content”)

Users retain ownership of their User Content.

By uploading or submitting User Content, you grant the Service Provider a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to store, process, reproduce, display, distribute, and use such content solely for the purpose of operating, improving, promoting, and providing the Application and its features.

Certain features of the Application may allow users to make recipes or other content publicly visible or shareable with other users. By choosing to share content publicly, you acknowledge and agree that such content may be viewed, accessed, copied, saved, or shared by other users of the Application.

You are solely responsible for any content you upload, publish, or share through the Application.

You agree not to upload or share content that:

Violates intellectual property rights
Is unlawful, fraudulent, misleading, or defamatory
Contains harmful or malicious code
Is offensive, abusive, discriminatory, or inappropriate
Violates the privacy or rights of others

The Service Provider reserves the right, but not the obligation, to remove, restrict, moderate, or delete User Content at its sole discretion.

10. Sharing Features & Communications

The Application may allow users to share recipes, meal plans, collections, or other content with third parties using features such as email sharing, phone number invitations, links, or other communication methods.

Users are solely responsible for ensuring they have appropriate permission or consent before sharing content or entering another person’s contact information into the Application.

The Service Provider does not guarantee:

Delivery of shared content or invitations
Availability of communication features
Receipt of messages by recipients
Accuracy of recipient information entered by users

Users agree not to use sharing or communication features for:

Spam
Harassment
Unauthorized marketing
Fraudulent activity
Abusive or unlawful conduct

The Service Provider is not responsible for how recipients use, store, forward, distribute, or respond to shared content once it has been transmitted or made accessible through the Application.

11. Data Collection & Analytics

The Application may collect and process information related to:

Application usage
Meal planning preferences
Grocery selections and shopping activity
Device and technical information
User interactions and analytics
Uploaded content and recipe activity

Certain optional features may require additional information such as phone numbers or contact details to enable sharing or collaboration functionality.

12. Third-Party Services, Grocery Integrations & Affiliate Relationships

The Application may integrate with or rely upon third-party services, platforms, APIs, or providers, including authentication providers, grocery delivery services, analytics tools, cloud infrastructure, and AI technologies.

Certain features within the Application may allow users to generate grocery baskets, shopping lists, ingredient recommendations, or meal-related purchases through third-party grocery services such as Instacart.

Users are solely responsible for reviewing and confirming all grocery lists, ingredient quantities, product selections, substitutions, duplicates, brands, and purchase details before completing any transaction. Grocery lists and recommendations generated by the Application may contain duplicate items, incorrect quantities, missing ingredients, substitutions, incorrect brands, or items already owned by the user.

Availability of grocery items is controlled entirely by third-party grocery providers and retailers. Certain ingredients or products may be unavailable, substituted, delayed, modified, or removed by the third-party provider during fulfillment or delivery.

Brand selection, product matching, substitutions, and item recommendations within third-party grocery services may be determined by third-party systems, retailers, availability, or automated processes outside the control of the Service Provider.

The Service Provider does not control or guarantee:

Grocery inventory availability
Product substitutions
Ingredient accuracy
Brand selection or product matching
Order completeness
Delivery or pickup times
Retail pricing
Retail product listings
Third-party fulfillment quality

Substitutions, incorrect brands, unavailable ingredients, or alternative products provided by third-party grocery services may impact the accuracy, quality, taste, preparation, dietary compatibility, or outcome of recipes generated within the Application.

The Service Provider may receive affiliate commissions or referral compensation from certain third-party partners. This does not result in additional charges to users through the Application.

All purchases, transactions, deliveries, pricing, availability, and services provided by third parties are solely the responsibility of those third parties.

The Service Provider is not responsible for:

Third-party products or services
Grocery order accuracy
Duplicate or incorrect grocery items
Incorrect substitutions
Incorrect brand selections
Missing ingredients
Recipe outcomes affected by substitutions or brand differences
Pricing or order fulfillment
Delivery or pickup delays
Product availability
Third-party outages or interruptions
Accuracy of third-party information

Your use of third-party services may also be subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

13. Internet Connectivity & Mobile Charges

Certain features of the Application require an active internet connection.

You acknowledge that your mobile network provider may charge fees related to data usage, roaming, or connectivity while using the Application. You are solely responsible for any such charges.

14. Device Security

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and access to the Application.

We strongly discourage jailbreaking, rooting, or otherwise modifying your device’s operating system, as doing so may compromise security and affect Application functionality.

15. Availability, Modifications & Updates

The Service Provider may update, modify, suspend, limit, replace, or discontinue any part of the Application, including:

Features
AI functionality
Integrations
Usage limits
Collections
Content
Third-party services

Such changes may occur at any time without prior notice.

We do not guarantee:

Continuous availability of the Application
Compatibility with all devices or operating system versions
Error-free or uninterrupted functionality
Ongoing availability of any specific feature or integration

You agree to install updates when made available in order to continue using the Application.

16. No Warranty

The Application and all related services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Service Provider disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to:

Merchantability
Fitness for a particular purpose
Accuracy
Reliability
Availability
Non-infringement

The Service Provider does not warrant that the Application will operate uninterrupted, securely, or error-free.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Service Provider shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to:

Use of the Application
Reliance on recipes or AI-generated content
Dietary or allergy-related issues
Inaccurate nutritional information
Food preparation outcomes
Loss of data
Service interruptions
Third-party integrations or services
User-generated content

Your use of the Application is at your own risk.

18. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Service Provider, its affiliates, directors, employees, contractors, and partners from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of:

Your use of the Application
Your User Content
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of any rights of another person or entity

19. Termination

The Service Provider reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to the Application at any time, without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to the Application, users, or the Service Provider.

Upon termination:

Your right to use the Application will immediately cease
Certain data may be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable laws

20. Changes to These Terms

The Service Provider may update these Terms periodically.

Updated Terms will be posted within the Application or on our website. Continued use of the Application after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

21. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada, except where prohibited by applicable consumer protection laws in your province or territory of residence.
